Directions to First Church,
on the corner of Forest and Stone
near downtown Great Bend.
- Entering Great Bend from the North on US-281, stay on 281, it will turn into Main Street. Continue on Main until you reach the center of town, or Jack Kilby Square, where the Barton County Courthouse is located. Immediately west of the front doors of the Courthouse, is Forest Street. Turning right, you will find the church in just two blocks.
- Entering Great Bend from the South on US-281, stay on 281, it will turn into Main Street. Continue on Main until you reach the center of town, or Jack Kilby Square, where the Barton County Courthouse is located. Immediately west of the front doors of the Courthouse, is Forest Street. Turning left, you will find the church in just two blocks.
- Entering Great Bend from the East on KS-56, stay on 56, it will turn into 10th Street. Continue on 10th Street until you pass the intersection of 10th and Main. You will come upon Williams Street, followed by Stone. Turn right on Stone and proceed three blocks, crossing 11th, 12th and Lakin Streets. The church is on the right between Lakin and Forest.
- Entering Great Bend from the West on KS-56, stay on 56, it will turn into 10th Street. Continue on 10th Street until you pass the intersection of 10th and Washington. You will continue for four blocks before turning left on Stone. Proceed three blocks, crossing 11th, 12th and Lakin Streets. The church is on the right between Lakin and Forest.
- Entering Great Bend from the Northwest on US-96, continue into Great Bend until you reach the stop light at the intersection of Broadway and 96. Turn left. Continue on Broadway through two stoplights, one at Broadway and McKinley, the other at Broadway and Washington. Continue for four more blocks, turning right on Stone. The church is one block off of Broadway at Forest and Stone.
